In the beginning, God Created the heavens and the earth ~Genesis 1:1
Bedtime. Dinner time. Good times. Hard times. We have all kinds of time in our lives. Most of probably feel we don't have enough time. Let's face it, we have housholds to run, children to raise, jobs that seem to require more and more overtime each year, erc. When in this hectic schedule are we supposed to have time for God?
God is eternal. He exists outside the boundaries of time. Without God, there would be no time. This is hard concept to wrap our heads around at times. Before there was time, there was God. Before there was anything, there was God. The Hebrew word being used here is beresheit, which is derived from the root word reish, meaning "head." God's word begins with one of the most foundational spiritual truths. God should be at the beginning of everything we do. God is the head of our life. We should seek to put him first.
In what areas of our lives are we not putting God first? Do we turn to him before we start our day? Do we make time for the Creator of time?
